Researchers said Tuesday that papaya leaf extract and its tea have dramatic cancer-fighting properties against a broad range of tumors, backing a belief held in a number of folk traditions. University of Florida researcher Nam Dang and colleagues in Japan, in a report published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology, documented papaya's anticancer effect against tumors of the cervix, breast, liver, lung and pancreas. So, we should start looking out for papaya leaf extracts and its teas then. Chile Quake Shortened Days According to this article I found on the Yahoo! News Singapore web site, a NASA scientist has calculated that the Chilean earthquake was strong enough to have shifted the Earth's axis, thereby making our days shorter. Still, it is nothing to worry about. No need to go rushing to readjust your clocks. The shift of 8 centimetres in the Earth's axis only caused our days to be shorter by only a negligible 1.26 microsecond. In case you don't know, 1 microsecond is only a millionth of a second. Just got this Pizza Hut brochure in my mailbox in the evening. From the 24th of Feburary (which is like a couple of days ago) to the 31st of March 2010, Pizza Hut dares to guarantee that the pizza they deliver to your house will be hot. Otherwise, they will give you free pizzas for a year. Seriously, what is the likelihood of that ever happening? They pack your pizzas in large insulated bags that keep your pizzas hot from outlet to your house for a very long time. The only way your pizza is ever going to get cold is if the delivery guy gets extremely lost (which is pretty hard by the way) or he took a detour to some place to get a smoke or a drink or somethin. Sure we can hope he gets stuck in a traffic jam for one hour but that is very unlikely either. Pizza Hut may be trying to get more of us to order pizzas from them but I doubt many of us will fall for this gimmick. I say, bring back the Lava 3 crust!!! I loved that special crust with three different types of cheese stuffed into it! And then they took it out of their menu. Pizza Hut, if you want me to order a pizza, you got to bring back that Lava 3 crust. Definitely. |
